Cartesian Logic is a method for exploring the outcomes of decisions or actions by examining all possible scenarios through two variables and their modifiers.
Essentially, it evaluates what will or won’t happen as a result of something either happening or not happening. This approach helps to consider every possibility, offering clarity and insight into potential outcomes.
The framework divides these possibilities into two parts, each with positive and negative outcomes:
A: Will (+) / Won’t (-)
B: Does (+) / Doesn’t (-)
The key question to explore is:
What (A) if (B) happens?
This approach helps analyze four perspectives, providing a comprehensive understanding of potential outcomes:
Four Steps:
What will (+) happen if you do (+) achieve your vision?
What won’t (-) happen if you do (+) achieve your vision?
What won’t (-) happen if you don’t (-) achieve your vision?
What will (+) happen if you don’t (-) achieve your vision?
Formula:
A+ and B+
A- and B+
A- and B-
A+ and B-
Each of these scenarios unloads a unique perspective, helping you unpack a wealth of possibilities and make more informed decisions.
